About & the independence pledge

An interchange only works if nobody owns the scales. Independence is not our vibe — it is our structure.

The pledge

Sideline Exchange is an independent company. It is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any sports platform, league, or governing body.

Every platform integrates on identical terms: the same open spec, the same rate limits, the same conflict-resolution rules. No platform seeded the hub with data or code, and none gets privileged access — not the biggest, not the first, not ever. Whose data wins a conflict is decided by published policy (source rank, then recency, then confidence), never by commercial relationship.

Why this is the whole product

A schedule interchange run by one platform is a moat with an API. Competitors will not push their schedules into a rival’s database, so the data stays partial and everyone keeps scraping everyone. Neutrality is the property that makes the network worth joining — which is why it is pledged on a page rather than implied in a deck.

What we are

A small, founder-built company with one job: make youth sports schedules flow to the people standing on sidelines. The OYSS spec and the SDKs are Apache-2.0; the example clubs in everything we publish are fictional; the service code is ours.
